Readiness Program

The early years of learning are not about rushing into academics they are about building comfort, curiosity, and confidence.
The Edumaame Readiness Program is designed for young children who are just beginning their learning journey.
Whether your child is stepping into structured learning for the first time or preparing for preschool and school interviews, this program gently introduces them to foundational concepts in a way that feels natural, engaging, and enjoyable.
Through stories, games, hands-on activities, and guided exploration, children begin to develop early language, listening, and thinking skills while becoming comfortable in a
small-group learning environment.
Our goal is simple: to help children feel confident, expressive, and excited about learning before they enter formal schooling

Preparing for School
Interactions & Interviews

Many parents worry about how their child will respond during school admissions interactions.
In our readiness program, children gradually become comfortable speaking, listening, responding to simple questions, and participating in activities helping them feel relaxed and confident.
when meeting teachers in a school setting.
Rather than memorising answers, children develop natural communication and comfort in expressing themselves.

What Your Child Will Gain
From This Program?

By the end of the program, children begin to develop:

  • Confidence in interacting with teachers and peers
  • Comfort in a classroom environment
  • Listening and attention skills
  • Early communication, vocabulary development and right brain development.
  • Basic awareness of sounds, numbers, shapes, and patterns
  • The ability to follow simple instructions and participate in group activities

In fact, we love working with children who are a blank slate, because it allows us to introduce ideas in a clear, thoughtful, and engaging way from the very beginning.
All your child needs is curiosity, we take care of the rest.

Duration of the Readiness
Program

Every child develops at their own pace, and our readiness program is designed to honour that.
The program typically runs between 6 months to 12 months, depending on each child’s comfort, progress, and developmental readiness.
Some children choose to continue for up to 18 months, progressing through Readiness Level 1 and Level 2, allowing them additional time to strengthen their foundational skills with confidence.
At Edumaame, progression is never rushed. Our instructors closely observe each child’s learning journey and will guide parents when the child is ready to move on to the next program.
Our goal is not to complete a timeline but to ensure every child moves forward with clarity, confidence, and readiness.

Phonics Program

Phonics Program

Reading is one of the most important skills a child develops in their early years, and the way it is introduced can shape how a child feels about learning for a long time.
The Edumaame Phonetics Program is designed to help children become confident readers and writers by understanding how language works rather than memorising it. Through a structured yet engaging approach, children learn to recognise sounds, blend them into words, and gradually build fluency in reading and writing.
Our classes use stories, characters, interactive activities, and guided practice so that children actively participate in the learning process.
Concepts are introduced in ways that feel natural, relatable, and easy to understand, allowing children to build strong literacy foundations with confidence.
At Edumaame, learning never happens in isolation. Whenever a new sound, rule, or concept is introduced, children are also guided on how to use it whether through reading, writing, conversation,
or storytelling. This ensures that learning feels meaningful and practical rather than theoretical.

Phonetics Level 1
Building the Foundation

Level 1:
Focuses on helping children understand the relationship between letters and sounds, forming the base for reading and writing.
During this stage, children begin to:

  • Recognise and pronounce letter sounds
  • Blend sounds together to read simple words
  • Identify beginning, middle, and ending sounds
  • Develop early reading confidence
  • Strengthen listening and sound awareness
  • Begin writing simple words and sentences

Concepts are introduced through interactive activities, storytelling, and visual cues so children can connect sounds to meaning rather than simply memorising patterns.
The goal of Level 1 is to help children feel comfortable decoding words and understanding how reading works.

Phonetics Level 2
Expanding Language

Level 1:
Once children are comfortable with foundational reading skills, they progress to Level 2, where learning becomes deeper and more expressive. Along with advanced phonetic rules and concepts, children are gradually introduced to basic grammar through visual techniques and sentence structure. This helps them understand not just how to read words, but how language works as a system. Children begin to explore:

  • Advanced spelling patterns and blends
  • Reading longer and more complex words
  • Sentence construction and comprehension
  • Introduction to grammar concepts
  • Vocabulary development and expression
  • Writing short, meaningful sentences
At this stage, grammar is introduced in an engaging and relatable way, often through characters, stories, and practical examples so children can clearly understand how different parts of language work together. The focus remains on application and understanding, ensuring that children are able to use what they learn confidently in reading, writing, and communication.

The Edumaame Difference
